💖 Seeking God Daily

by Her True Worth

Hello friend! We all have busy lives filled with responsibilities and commitments, but have you ever stopped to ponder how often you're actually seeking God amidst the chaos? This week's issue is focused on the vital practice of seeking God daily.

In that secret place with Him, we are strengthened, equipped, refined, and purified.

🙏 Prayer of the Week

Dear God,

Today and every day, we stand before You with the aim of seeking Your face and Your wisdom in all that we do. Inspired by the psalmist who says, "early will I seek You," we are committed to making this discipline a part of our daily lives.

We understand that countless distractions in the world could divert our focus from You. So, we set our hearts on seeking You above all else. We commit to focusing our minds on Your Word and tuning our spirits to Your divine guidance. Lord, we choose to turn away from things that pull us away from You, so that we can fully embrace the richness of Your presence.

In Jesus' name, amen.

📖 Weekly Scripture

"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." – Matthew 6:33

🔦 Devotional Spotlight

"Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His face continually" (1 Chronicles 16:11). In the hustle and bustle of life, we can easily forget to seek God each day. Yet, the Bible makes it clear that seeking God should be a daily discipline. Seeking God isn't just about asking for His guidance or for solutions to our problems. It’s about establishing a relationship, taking the time to know and understand His character, and aligning our will with His.

The biblical characters who were closest to God were those who sought Him continually. King David, a man after God's own heart, was consistently seeking God's guidance (Psalm 27:8). Just like David, we too, can build a close relationship with God by seeking Him daily. It's a daily commitment that yields lifelong benefits, as God promises to be found by those who seek Him with all their heart (Jeremiah 29:13).

Jesus woke up early to pray & seek the Father.

Additionally, the practice of seeking God daily allows us to cultivate a sense of peace and stability, no matter the external circumstances. As we make a habit of seeking Him, we find that His presence becomes the grounding force in our lives. Through daily prayer, meditation on Scripture, and moments of calm, we open up the space for God to fill us with His joy, wisdom, and love. This transforming experience not only benefits us but also allows us to become vessels of His grace and love to those around us.

💬 Quotes on Seeking God

Below are some quotes from our bestselling book, Her True Worth, by Brittany Maher & Cassandra Speer:

  1. Developing Intimacy with God: "The art of abiding in God is developed through daily intimacy with him. Just like our earthly relationships require time to establish intimacy, so it is with our relationship with God. We have the promise that when we seek him, our heavenly Father is faithful to be found (Jeremiah 29:13), and when we draw close to him, he will always draw close to us (James 4:8)."

  2. Seek Him in Secret: "In that secret place with him, we are strengthened, equipped, refined, and purified. Seek him when nobody’s looking. Knowing our true identity in Christ begins with time spent in his Word and in prayer."

  3. Undistracted Time: "So, sister, let’s live our lives undistracted, unfiltered, and unfettered before him. Let’s dive deep into His Word to draw closer to him and fall more in love with him every day. Let’s seek him when nobody else is watching."
